RachÈLE DEMÉO, M.A., M.Ed.

President / general Manager

An educator for 18 years, Rachele DeMéo was born in Nîmes (Gard), in the south of France where she lived for nineteen years. Raised by an American-Italian father and an English mother, Rachèle grew up in a bilingual and multicultural environment. She is passionate about languages ​​and other cultures and her professional background has been rooted in language learning and teaching. She has two Master's, including one in teaching and learning.

She currently resides in San Diego, California with her husband and their two bilingual children.

She founded FLAM San Diego in 2020 (as a volunteer) with about thirty children participating in virtual French lessons. She is the director of FLAM San Diego offering different programs for about forty children and teenagers.

A former teacher in secondary school, then in universities, she is also a presenter/trainer. She also teaches French classes and other lectures at Belle Terre Academy. She is also a writer (6 books published to date) and YouTuber

AndrÉE-ANNE TARDIF

Andrée-Anne Tardif was born and raised in Victoriaville, a small French-speaking town located in Quebec. She then moved to Montreal where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in International Law from the University of Montreal. During her academic career, she had the opportunity to do a semester abroad in Mexico, at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económica. In 2018, Andrée-Anne decided to move to San Diego with her husband and two cats.

Andrée-Anne is passionate about culture and languages. She is a member of the American Association of French Teachers (San Diego chapter) and is currently the treasurer of FLAM San Diego. She is also an active member of HOTEPA, a dog shelter located in Acapulco with a mission to educate the local community about animal welfare.


Outside of work, Andrée-Anne enjoys learning new languages, cooking, traveling, playing with her two dogs, doing yoga, hiking, and relaxing at the beach.
